Dan + Shay’s newest chapter is around the corner.

The award-winning duo confirmed a new album on the way when they posted a collection of photos and videos on Instagram on Tuesday (May 5). The post included selfies taken by Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, snapshots from the studio, brief clips of the duo working on new music, a cover of Fall Out Boy’s “Sugar, We’re Goin Down,” a recent performance with Christian artist Brandon Lake, a crowd singalong moment from Stagecoach, and more. Dan + Shay captioned the post: “The album is coming!”

Smyers added in the comments, “and it’s our best album yet”

Commenters expressed eagerness for an album and tour announcement; however, Dan + Shay have not confirmed additional details as of publication time on Wednesday morning (May 6).

Dan + Shay’s latest studio record is Bigger Houses, a 12-track album that arrived in September 2023. It was the duo’s first project they released after they nearly quit music because of intense burnout. Bigger Houses included “Breakin’ Up With a Broken Heart,” “Save Me The Trouble,” “Heartbreak On The Map,” “Always Gonna Be,” “We Should Get Married,” the title track and more. Since then, the duo delivered their long-awaited double holiday album, featuring originals and Christmas classics, in 2024. They also debuted a new Christmas song in 2025, and a highly-requested cover of Taylor Swift’s “Back To December.”

Dan + Shay marked the beginning of their newest era when they released “Say So” last month. Smyers and Mooney wrote the song with David Hodges and Jimmy Robbins, and Smyers co-produced it with Scott Hendricks. “Say So” “is a true story about a friend who we lost not long ago, and we hope it offers strength and encouragement to anyone going through a tough time,” Dan + Shay shared. They added in a statement that the song “is a reminder that no matter what you are going through, you don’t have to go through it alone. We wrote this song from a very personal place and could not be more proud to stand behind the message.” They included a message in the “Say So” music video: “If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available. Call or text 988 to reach the Suicide + Crisis Lifeline.”
