Lady Lake, FL - A Florida man is facing criminal charges after allegedly urinating on over $10,000 worth of canned goods at a Sam’s Club in Lady Lake.

Patrick Francis Mitchell, a resident of Florida, was arrested on June 4th after he allegedly urinated on pallets of canned meat at a Sam’s Club in Lady Lake, near Orlando.

According to court records from Lake County, Mitchell has been charged with criminal mischief involving damages exceeding $1,000 and disorderly conduct.

The arrest stems from a May 30th incident captured on store surveillance and detailed in an affidavit filed by the State of Florida on June 3rd.

At around 9:49 a.m., a woman shopping in the store allegedly witnessed Mitchell engaging in the act.

She took photos with her phone and shared them with store employees.

Security footage reportedly shows Mitchell approaching two pallets of canned goods, placing his hands in front of him below the waist, and standing still for several seconds, exhibiting what investigators described as behavior consistent with urination.

Store officials later confirmed that the affected pallets contained 345 cans of Spam and 188 cans of Vienna sausages.

The entire inventory had to be discarded, resulting in a loss estimated at $10,584.84, according to the affidavit.

Mitchell, who remained in the store for approximately ten minutes after the alleged act before completing his purchase and leaving, was identified through information linked to his Sam’s Club membership.

He has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to appear in court again on June 30th.
